I think everyone needs to know about the power of prayer with Kate. When Kate was born, she had a mass on her head. There was a lot of confusion and concern over the mass including worries that it might be a skull that didn’t close properly and the mass might be brain tissue. Lots of prayers were offered up on behalf of Kate, and testing revealed that the skull was fully formed. As testing continued, there were worries of cancer. Again, after covering her in deep blankets of prayer, those worries were dismissed. I think one of the most amazing times for me was being able to photograph the family (not just Kate’s mom and dad, but aunt, uncle, grandmother and grandfather) and sense the joy and peace that surrounded Kate and God’s plan for her life. She is a beautiful girl, and I can’t wait to see how God uses her in the years to come!
