One Year! ~ Elijah

Friday, December 11th, 2009

I can’t believe I’m really posting this for a variety of reasons, but the biggest is the fact that Elijah is ONE! ONE! Where did the year (and 3 months) go? You’ve seen him before as a newborn and a six month old and now I present him as a full fledged toddler with his walking legs on and everything!

Jeremy, my dear husband, gets so frustrated with my bare bottom shots. But, you can only make it work for the first twelve months (no bare bobos after that), and it’s soooo cute! Especially standing in Daddy’s boots with his hat on.

And, from these next few, you would never know how seriously he takes me. Thank goodness for Daddy behind the camera making some great noises!

Now, this was taken exactly one month later (he’s the first one to try the one), and his walking legs had taken over. This is right before he picked up the one and brought it to me.

most of these shots looked like this because he’s very politely bringing the one to me:

Love you E! (and mommy J)

Children ~ K & C

Meet K & C. These two remind me so much of my own children! Miss K is a beautiful, intelligent 3rd grader (who was NOT humored by my fart jokes) and Mr. C is an energetic, adorable 6 year old. They made me do a little bit of work, but trust me, I made them work far harder!

Aren’t they cute!

Newborn ~ Drew

What can I say about Drew?! Since he’s so new (now 3 months old – yes, I’m behind on blogging, so I’m pledging a twice a week post schedule until I catch up!), I think I’ll gush on his mom and dad.

I remember meeting David and Robbin on the same day at church. David was teaching a Sunday School class that I decided to try out. I remember a feeling of peace and wisdom from David as I was in class that day. Over time, Jeremy and David started meeting and running together, and next thing I remember is David and Robbin introducing us to P.F. Chang’s and lettuce wraps! They had a beautiful wedding, and then a couple of years later, Robbin and I were expecting with due dates one month apart from one another.
I can’t tell you the treasure of friendship we have with this family! God is so good! Most exciting (though not more exciting that the arrival of sweet Drew) is that we’ll be spending a WHOLE WEEK with them at Pine Cove this summer! Woo hoo!

Drew came into the world to meet two big sisters on September 17 at 10 pounds, 5 ounces, and 21 inches. He’s a biggun!

Cool story – this chest was Drew’s great grandfather’s. David (Drew’s dad) was named after his grandfather, David White, who used this chest in WWI. David’s uncle kept the chest at the family farm in Pennsylvania, and now it will be used in Drew’s room. Drew’s middle name is White, too!

And this beautiful blue blanket was knitted by Robbin’s mother. It is beautiful, soft, and delicate. I was afraid we would soil it, but now I really wish I would have taken the chance. I love how his little piggies are peeping out here!

Love you guys, and we can’t wait until Pine Cove!
