Family ~ Syptaks

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

Families. Normally my palms get all sweaty and my heart races a little at the idea of coordinating more than two people in a picture. But, knowing this family helped me say okay when they asked for some help with their Christmas card. This was the first cold snap of the season, so it’s about 55 degrees with a bit a wind (doesn’t that sound warm after 17 degrees last night?!), so everyone was a little chilly. But, the beautiful thing about family is that they all know how to work one another – for good or for bad – and it sure was FUN playing while we took some pictures!

Daddy better get his shotgun ready (there’s a story to that one that includes the reason Jeremy was nicknamed “Bulls eye” and my dad was nicknamed “Shotgun” early in our dating relationship – Paul, I have some ideas for you!).

It’s amazing what a Daddy behind the photographer can do even when the girls are cold and little finished with pictures!
Thank you, Syptaks, for the joy of photographing your family!

Eight Months ~ Emery

Family get togethers always present opportunities, don’t they!? Over Thanksgiving one cousin was home from out East, and I got to love on sweet little Emery again. Of course, then we realized that the sisters hadn’t had a picture made together is years, so off we went…

Here two of my fabulous cousins: aren’t they beauties!?

And here is Miss Emery. Growing like a beautiful flower, huh?!

In her precious baptismal dress…

This is sweet Lorin. I love this picture because I love that she’s “reading” a book, and I can’t resist the little pouty lip!

Meet Jaxon. He’s the first boy I’ve shot that was all about the picture & posing. It was actually difficult to get him to talk to me because he was working it!
