Newborn ~ Cannon (Granbury Newborn Photographer)

Friday, May 14th, 2010

In Kristens’ maternity portrait session, if you’re like me, you looked at her perfect little belly and wondered what the child would bring – hair? dimples? chubby? long eyelashes? I knew he would be loved beyond what words can express. On his delivery date, I kept finding myself wondering, “Is he here, yet? Are they getting a zillion texts to see if he’s here? Would another hurt?” Yes, I get a bit into knowing when the stork delivers, and I relish all the details – Mom and baby’s health, how long did it take, and all of baby’s stats.

When Cannon arrived for his newborn pictures, can I tell you that he nailed very pose like a champ? Mom and Dad were over-the-top delightful, too. They brought in some fabulous fun props – a stuffed deer, wood chips to go with the antler picture, fun Texas Tech items (Gig ‘em Aggies), and, best of all, adoring smiles with calm, loving tenderness that is so beautiful.

Children ~ Webb boys

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

You may remember the beautiful Webb family from not too far back. Well, I had the awesome chance to see the boys again to capture pictures for their birthday. Photographing children always means I’m in for some fun adventures, and as boys will be boys, and these two made me feel right at home with their, well, boyish nature. I love getting children out to play in the outdoors where their personalities blossom! Run, jump, chase, what is better?!

We captured a few with mom in the studio setting and get that feeling of how much boys love their mommas.

Gorgeous eyes!
We sent to Granbury City Park, and Grae had some skills he wanted to show me…good, huh!
Now, Mr. Will wanted to show me how fast he was, and I was sure glad I wore my running shoes! Here, I headed him off at the end of the slide. You can see his surprise that I was really that fast, can’t you?!

Maternity ~ Kristen’s having a BOY!

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Sweet spirit. Gentle husband. Cowboy boots. Love. Round bump of a belly. Glow of an expecting mommy. All are ingredients for the perfect maternity photography session. The love and excitement between Brian and Kristen was clearly evident as we talked about Cannon’s arrival. Daddy had a twinkle in his eye that mixed with that nervousness of what to expect and a little protectiveness of what Mommy would be going through. In Kristen you could see the already unwavering love for sweet Cannon and that urgency mothers get when they’re just ready to meet the little baby inside! Thank you, Brian & Kristen, for allowing me to share this memory with you.
