Family – Horan (Granbury family photographer)

Friday, June 25th, 2010

I’ve know Shelley and Sam, gosh, I don’t think I even know how long. I know it’s somewhere between 4 and 5 years, but, come to think of it, I can’t remember how we met (and to defend my lack of memory, Shelley couldn’t remember either!). They are those people in your life that you just feel as if you have known forever [forever in a good way!] because they’re loving and genuine. Shelley is a spunky, fun-loving mom, and Sam is an adorable, sometimes mischievous little boy whom I love, love, love. Shelley wanted some family photos of the two of them, bluebonnets were blooming, and we ventured off for some fun!

Senior – Matthew (Walnut Springs Senior Photographer)

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

I have to admit I didn’t know much about Walnut Springs other than it was one town I pass through on my way to Austin (or Marble Falls if I take the long way, but that’s a story for another day). When Matthew’s mom contacted me a few months ago and told me about Matthew and the winning football team, I was (and still am) impressed! I really got excited when she told me more about her son and his love for the Dodge Charger. She rented a Charger for our session! What an amazingly cool Mom!

I mean, really, how cool is this!

This was just too fun to pass up :)

Thank you for spending the evening with me and allowing me to ride in the Charger!

Bluebonnets and 3 months – Two Cute Boys

Friday, June 18th, 2010

Remember the beautiful bluebonnets this year? Yes, I realize that was about two months ago, but I thought it might be a nice, refreshing memory for you.

Back in bluebonnet season, Cameron contacted me about getting some pictures of her adorable three month old baby boy and some of her three year old son in the bluebonnets. Now, three year old boys have a reputation for being a little difficult for photographing because they’re busy boys! I looove busy boys. If you have the right tricks a.k.a. knowledge of their interests, you can manipulate them. That’s right – man-ip-u-la-tion.

This little man had the most breathtaking blue eyes and dimples to die for:

And the mohawk hat had to make an appearance here…

The two brothers…

Here’s where my best photographer skills met with my best mom skills. Sometimes it’s just a matter of playing with a camera involved. This is a game I call, “can you see me” in the bluebonnets.

Just as important is, “can you see Superman in my camera?”

And, the master of all manipulation, “what’s your best Spiderman move?” He’s really going to love this when’s a teenager :)

Cameron, thank you for spending time with me waaaay back in April!
