Brenda is a senior at Granbury High School this year, and I had the honor of photographing Brenda for her senior pictures. This girl cracked me up because there was one “side” that she absolutely hated, and every time I tried to pose her with that side forward, she caught me. She’s such a natural beauty that there is no way any “side” is a bad one! Breathtaking…and an absolute natural in front of the camera (despite what you think, Brenda!).

Family ~ Barnes {Burleson Family Photographer}
Absolutely, by far, my favorite part of this photography business “thing” is that I get to meet such sweet families. Jayme emailed me that she had a soon-to-be one year old, and they needed some family pictures. Delighted is the best word for my response. One year olds are so precious – and Conner really laid on the charm!
And, you have to have a few from the cake smash
Newborn ~ Whitman
I am satisfied
I see dance
Laugh and sing
As God comes
A loving bedfellow
And stays by my bed all night
~ Walt Whitman
Meet Whitman. His name originated with Walt Whitman, Daddy’s favorite poet. Knowing that, I asked beautiful Mom to bring along Dad’s favorite Whitman book for the session. She also brought his book of writing, and I was able to capture the first image with the two books! Whitman is a mellow baby boy, welcomed home by a big sister and a big brother who so love him! I had a fabulous session with Whitman who was content to let me bend, move, pose, and sneak in a few cuddles
