Newborn ~ Harper {Granbury Newborn Photographer}

Wednesday, May 18th, 2011

Sweet, sweet Harper. Such a tiny little angel – born a month early, at 4.1 lbs. On the day of our first appointment, little Harper had to have a blood transfusion due to her jaundice levels. All I could do was lift this sweet girl and her parents (and grandparents) in prayer and trust the Great Physician to heal her. I’m happy to report that at 15 days new, I was able to meet Miss Harper, and she was a healthy baby girl!! Not only was she healthy, she was an awesome sleeper!

First of all, it is important to note that her name originated with Harper Lee, author of the classic To Kill a Mockingbird. This is a book that I had to learn to love, but now I love it & so does Harper!

I fell in love with this throw when I saw it the first time, but had some doubt how to use it. I loved the basket the minute I saw it, but it’s been too small for other babies…perfection!!

Dad is a fan :)

Harper’s grandmother has done the 3 day walk for breast cancer awareness & will be repeating her walk.

Children ~ Emery {Granbury Child Photographer}

Where does time go? Emery is TWO!! TWO!!! Can you believe it?! She was a little camera shy & MUCH happier with mommy, so we found two ways around that…

One, Mommy had to run through this little path in a game of chase so that sweet Emery would come through, too :)

Then, at our second location, we had a new strategy. Daddy would take Emery and Mommy would stay in the car. I told Daddy, “This is going to be brutal, but I want you to put her down and walk away.” Of course, had she had a total meltdown, I would have asked Daddy to come to the rescue.

It started like this:

And then Daddy got a little silly…

And then… :)

One Year! ~ Granbury Child Photographer

Where does time go? Just a short time ago, Mr. Crew was just a baby. A sweet, tiny, sleepy little baby. I’ve been able to watch Crew grow up because I see him frequently at church, and he’s just SO adorably CUTE. One of the biggest changes – though how can you really count them when you’re dealing with a newborn and a one year old – is he’s not sleepy anymore! I love the one year session because there’s so much personality and change, and it gets me moving! You can tell Crew loves life and is surrounded by a lot of love!

At the first part of our session, Crew wasn’t totally himself…no smile…

but, for some reason, iPhone’s seem to attract smiles!

And so do Daddy’s with silly faces & noises (still so sad I miss all the fun!)

We met up later (because it was discovered that sweet Crew was teething – I wouldn’t be happy, either!) at the park, and freeeedom! Can you feel it here?
