Maternity ~ Lindsey {Granbury maternity photographer}

Thursday, April 14th, 2011

I had to laugh at the personality that came across in Lindsey’s first email inquiry about a maternity session. “I am 35 weeks along and an obvious procrastinator :) .” You know, it’s amazing to me how slowly due dates arrive and yet, at the same time, how quickly it all goes at the end when you’re trying to get everything prepared. It was a delight to meet Lindsey and Mike in person and travel to some of my favorite locations here in Granbury to capture this glowing mommy-to-be, and as an added bonus, they were SO.MUCH.FUN. I told Mike as he heckled me, and I’ll share with you, that he couldn’t intimidate me because I teach high school, so I can dish back out what I’m given (in a fun, good-natured approach, of course!). I like to chat as I capture life’s moments, so one of my questions for Lindsey was, “How did you find out you were pregnant?” Without a hesitation, she replied, “I thought I had cancer or something.” I laughed, and she told me she was serious! It IS a whole new bodily experience! Lindsey, you carry (or carried, since sweet Tatum arrived Monday) pregnancy well.

And, I love this one SO much. One, you can see how blissfully happy Lindsey is. Two, you can see how beautiful Lindsey is. Three, I got to cut off Mike’s head! (he he, you just had to be with us!). Love ya, Mike!

Maternity ~ Ginn

I’ve confessed before that sometimes I’m jealous of a tummy that I photograph. I guess, technically, I’m a little envious of all of them because I ADORED being pregnant. Sure, I had some discomfort, but the feeling of a baby moving inside of me was glorious – LOVED it!! (it probably also helped to focus on the fact that I wasn’t having to change diapers or feed every few hours – wink wink) I can’t imagine the fun that Jill had as she felt her sweet baby boy and sweet baby girl tumble and move around in her tummy. I mean, TWO! = Wow!

Maternity ~ Chelsey {Granbury & Glen Rose photographer}

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

Ah, summer sun and refreshing breezes. I’m pretty sure that the August afternoon we captured these there was  a lot of the summer sun and not so much of the refreshing breezes. But, Chelsey and “the boys” were super easy to work with despite the sweat. I’m thankful for that! We were excited to capture some sweet memories before Miss Adalyn made her debut while Chelsey was absolutely glowing with the maternal glow of pregnancy. This is a beautiful baby belly!
