maternity ~ Chelsey

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

I was sitting down to make Taytum’s newborn blog, and when I tried to make a link to the perfect tummy that Taytum came out of, I discovered – to my shock – that I never blogged that very perfect tummy! How, oh how,  did I miss that one?! I can’t tell you how delighted I was that Chelsey asked me to take her maternity portraits! See, I was kind sorta secretly stalking Chelsey…well, ‘stalking’ isn’t really the correct term. I wasn’t following her or anything, but each week when I saw her come in with her beautiful family, I looked at her sweet belly, and I thought to myself, “She would be SO fun to photograph.” They’re are a beautiful family.

They are SO sweet & Miss S, big sister extraordinaire, is so much fun (and so well behaved). She especially liked the painting!

Maternity ~ Stephanie {Granbury maternity photographer}

I could SO empathize with Stephanie as I a drug her around town in the heat of an August morning. Even at 8:00am, it’s hot. It’s even hotter if you have a little princess in the oven. Stephanie was absolutely glowing, though. And, Jimmy was hesitant about taking pictures at first, but once I got him going and made some corny, cheesy jokes here and there, he was, I dare say, enjoying himself a little. Not necessarily while I had the camera in his face, but there rest of the time, enjoying our time together. I consider it a true success because he was completely avoiding the newborn session that was coming, but by the end of our session, he decided that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Now, I can’t give myself too much credit – it’s not like he was whooping and hollering to come, but, at least he wasn’t making a million excuses, right!

I think this little lady can wear a few outfits a day ;)

Maternity ~ Jennifer’s having a GIRL!

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

The GIRL in this title is especially important because – are you ready for this – this girl is the FIRST GIRL IN 35 YEARS on Daddy’s side of the family. I know, I know, odds are 50/50 for each pregnancy, but 35 years? That says something. And if you think that bit of news didn’t spark some serious shopping for all things pink, well, you’d be completely right! So, the pink dress was the icing on the cake for this session.

This was also a fun maternity session as this amazing couple was in the process of heading back home (literally – to the neighborhood where they grew up) after a few years living and serving in the lives of Granbury, so we needed to document some of the Granbury landmarks to help them remember all of us! They are now settling in with their sweet baby girl back in their hometown, surrounded by family. We wish you many blessings!

Ah, I’d love to be a mind-reader here…
