I continue to be amazed and incredibly honored when I get a phone call or email of inquiry from a mommy-to-be, and I am so thankful for all of you over the years who have trusted me with your precious new blessings. I love being able to meet mommies from Stephenville, Dublin, Granbury, Glen Rose, Forney, Fort Worth, Burleson…really, all around me. One of my biggest fears with moving to the family ranch a few years ago, and thus moving my business into a home studio, was that maybe no one would want to make the drive. But the Lord has been so good, and I’m excited to say I photographed 61 newborn babies last year! Wow.
That means from the time photographed my first newborn in 2008, I have had the joy and privilege of capturing 220 new lives.
On a personal level, 2013 was also a year of realizations for me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE photography. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all the babies I get to snuggle, mommies I get to meet, and, let’s not forget my Seniors – SO much fun! At 37, I feel like I’m finally beginning to gain some wisdom. I’m finding new perspectives: my “babies” are growing crazy fast (bad grammar intentional there), my body doesn’t keep up with my “live beyond the hours of the day” pace, and it’s time to slow down a bit. 2014 will be a year of simplicity. I will be accepting fewer bookings this year to maximize time with my family. If you are expecting or get exciting news this year, I encourage you to book early – at the end of your first trimester, and early in your second trimester.
My current schedule:
January – booking closed
February – limited availability
March – very limited availability
April – limited availability
May – limited availability
June & July – now booking
Seniors (and moms of seniors), same situation – I’m cutting back, so I encourage you to book early! Those yearbook deadlines sneak up on you.
Now, enjoy these beautiful babies who were all born in 2013 – Thank you to all the Mommies I had the pleasure of meeting and snuggling your precious blessing!!
